For those creepypastas that aren't based on movies, books, TV shows, or video games, but are instead based upon events that the author experienced in his/her 'real life'.

Rarely has a correlation with a Video Game or any other type.

Stories like Slender, the Jersey Devil, UFOs, Thunderbird, Nessie, Chupacabra, Bigfoot, a ghost, a demon, etc. or something along the lines of haunted places, such as Chernobyl or Gettysburg would fall under this category.

A few of these, such as Slender, would fall under a hybrid category thanks to groups like this one who are making video games based upon the legends.
